Postural assessments and range of motion testing is carried out before and after each treatment (if you are coming for remedial or deep tissue massage/acupuncture or dry needling).
We like to think of ourselves as intelligent massage. We are only interested in applying deep pressure or remedial techniques to find and fix a problem.
We do not simply apply a lot of pressure (or our elbows) mindlessly into a persons body part.
We look at functional anatomy ie which muscle moves which body part and which other muscle does it have to work with or against to achieve that movement. We have to release the tension in a muscle that is holding too much tension and we achieve this via a variety to deep tissue and remedial techniques. We do use deep pressure but in an intelligent and targeted way and (not in a tortuous way).

About the Owner –
The owner, Tanya Galvin, has provider status for both Acupuncture and Remedial Massage.
Tanya started Cairns Massage after moving down from Port Douglas to Cairns. Tanya Still runs port douglas mobile massage too.

This is a story that started in Victoria, went all over the world and came back and landed in Cairns –
After Graduating from her Bachelor of Health Science – Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture (with honours!!) Tanya Galvin opened Synergy Acupuncture clinic in 2002 in Shepparton, Victoria.
In 2008 Tanya traveled the world working as an Acupuncturist, hypnotherapist, kinesiologist, spa therapist and Massage therapist on Cruise Ships around the world for Royal Carribean and Princess Cruise lines.
Tanya spent time on five cruise ships – After these five promotions to bigger and better cruise ships as a reward for doing a great job she decided to settle back in Australia.
